As part of any new equipment procurement the disposal of the old or legacy equipment can prove to be quite a headache and often very troublesome. This is not the case when you work with Vista Retail Support.
At Vista we professionally make adequate arrangements for the safe and secure storage of all equipment prior to disposal.
The Vista disposal service includes the following core areas;
- Hard disk data wiping and/or destruction
- Palletise waste material
- Record waste transfer details
- Transport waste materials to recycling facility
- Industrial waste recycling
- Produce waste reports
- Maintain item records
Equipment Disposal
The Vista partner chosen to undertake the disposal work will actively seek to eradicate all data bearing files (without opening or reading them) in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Where this is not possible for technical reasons, Vista workshop staff will physically disable and destroy the data media. Our partner’s Waste Management Licence permits them to receive and treat waste electrical and electronic equipment. In accordance with their management policy and the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), they will seek to recycle equipment wherever feasible before responsibly disposing of any waste.
All equipment is broken down and recycled in accordance with all relevant current and impending legislation. All aspects of the recycling service are governed by their registration to the international environmental management standard ISO14001.
At Vista we only use the recycling services of licensed organisations that meet the requirements of it’s own sub-contractor auditing process and relevant current Health and Safety and Environmental legislation. Our partners maintain a duty of care register recording permit and license details of waste carriers, processors, recyclers and waste management companies used.
