Pudsey fever arrived with a vengeance in Vista's head office in Cardiff. This year, despite the recession, the team raised almost 30% more than in 2008. Whilst not quite fancy dress, casual clothes were the norm and there was a bake off and the products were sold off for the well known bear based charity.
Sarah Deen, the prime mover and cash collector, said, “Everyone’s been really supportive this year, we didn’t think we would raise as much as 2008 because of the economic climate.”
She added, “We’re really pleased that the staff at Vista are still keen to help out those who genuinely need our assistance.”
The only downside of the entire event was the very expanded waist lines that are in evidence around the office from the consumption of such a great variety of cakes and buns!
