A year after taking a fleet of Škoda Octavias, Vista Retail Support is happier than ever with the vehicles, thanks to their reliability and low running costs.

One indication of how the cars have performed is that Vista has not needed to rent replacement vehicles as often as it had. The firm which Vista uses to rent cars from if any were out of action, recently contacted fleet manager, Emmanuel Lewis, to see if they’d changed rental companies as they hadn’t hired any vehicles for a long time.

"The vehicles have been so reliable in terms of breakdowns that we just haven’t needed to use rental vehicles. Whenever we have needed anything, we’ve had fantastic support from Škoda customer service", comments Emmanuel.

Vista currently has 63 Octavias and is taking on three more over the next few months. The company will also look to Škoda when it comes to replacing some of the older vehicles in the growing fleet. "We are definitely happy to continue to use Škoda," adds Emmanuel. "We’ve been really impressed with the vehicles overall, and have especially noticed a difference in lowering our fuel costs."

The Octavia Estate is the ideal car for the Vista engineers who often have to transport large amounts of equipment around, so require generous boot space.
